Liz Barton, LMSW, received her master’s in social work from Madonna University with a concentration in children, family, and youth.
Liz has experience in program management, outpatient therapy, group therapy, and supervising interns. Liz hopes to bring DBT to the school system to see the impact on exclusionary forms of discipline. Her hypothesis is that it will eradicate suspensions and drastically reduce expulsions, leading to an increase in graduation rates, and a reduction in drop-out rates.
Liz has a passion for crushing stigma, promoting mindfulness, and empowering others to obtain their life worth living!
During her off time, she enjoys being with her pets, photography, cooking, and going to the gym. She loves to humbly brag about her personal plank record, of three minutes and thirty seconds, and is working hard to beat that personal record! Her favorite motto is practice makes progress!
