Brad as an LLP/LPC, Limited Licensed Psychologist (Master’s Level) and a Licensed Professional Counselor. Before joining our team he gained experience working for a local community mental health provider (CMH) in Wayne County. There he worked with the severely mentally ill adult population; whom many had a co-occurring diagnosis of mental health as well as substance abuse. Brad was on the CMH’s DBT for three years prior to coming to the Institute where he conducted individual skills counseling/therapy sessions as well as ran groups. He has also received basic and advanced training in prolonged exposure treatment (PET) for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

He received his Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Moody Theological Seminary – Michigan. While there Brad interned at the clinic on site as well as spent a semester interning at a local Autism Clinic.

Brad has completed the Introduction to DBT and Comprehensive DBT training as well as multiple other trainings in DBT from Josh Smith, DBT Institute of Michigan CEO & Founder.

In his spare time Brad likes to spend time with his family outdoors. They like going fishing, canoeing, camping, spending time at his dad’s cabin up north, and going for hikes at local state parks. As a way of destressing Brad likes to go to the gym and burn off his excessive energy as well as putting together Lego Technic sets with his son.
