Amanda is a licensed master level mental health counselor who received her MS from Walden University. Before joining our team she gained experience working for a community outpatient mental health facility in Wayne County for over five years, as well as experience in private practice in Wayne and Monroe County for over three years.
Amanda has a background in working with youth, adolescents, and adults with a variety of mental health disorders whom many had a co-occurring diagnosis of mental health as well as substance abuse. She has experience in facilitating group therapy and strives to educate clients on DBT skills to assist in improving one’s overall quality of life. Amanda also has a passion to help her clients identify the power of self-love and the positive impacts that loving yourself can create. She further encourages a more holistic approach to therapy including work with the mind, body, and soul.
She has completed the Introduction to DBT and Comprehensive DBT Training as well as other trainings from Josh Smith, DBT Institute of Michigan CEO & Founder. When Amanda is not at the office, you can find her at the gym, spending time with her dog, enjoying the outdoors, or with family.
